Roderic O Conor and The Moderns will take you through a short but critical phase in O Conor's career between 1887 and 1895, tracing the relationships between him and his contemporaries Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Cuno Amiet. You will see works by Van Gogh, Gauguin and Amiet alongside O Conor's allowing you to follow this important Irish artist's journey of artistic discovery and experimentation.
Take your ticket to the exhibition entrance on level 1 Millennium Wing and plan to spend about an hour in this wonderful exhibition. Take a break in the Gallery cafe before exploring the wonderful permanent collection in the National Gallery of Ireland featuring works by Caravaggio, Vermeer, and Jack B. Yeats.
