About this activity

You depart Dublin at 8.00am and drive through lush countryside to County Cork.

You pass the fertile fields of the Golden Vale before arriving at the famously distinctive Rock of Cashel in Country Tipperary.

Here, you have time to discover the sacred stories of St Patrick and the devil, learn about the kings who dwelt here over 1,000 years ago, and appreciate the extraordinary fusion of Gothic and Medieval architecture.

After enjoying this heavenly sight, it’s time to retrace our journey back to Blarney.

But now you have a difficult decision: what will you choose to do in the grounds of Blarney Castle? You can traverse the tower to smooch the stone and earn ‘the gift of the gab’. You can wander to the luscious lake and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Or you can explore the plants and ruins dotted around the gorgeous gardens. There’s also plenty of time to grab lunch at one of the many cafes dotted about.

You travel back to Dublin and arrive in the evening at approximately 8.00pm.
