The Purple Tour - Game of Thrones and History

This tour is intended for folks interested in the best of both worlds, the Game of Thrones flming locations plus the story of Dubrovnik and its landmarks. Grab our presentation book (which has the actual scenes from the show!) and an audio device (which makes it really easy to hear in a crowd) and join the adventure with our costumed guide!

We’ll visit the places where the Game of Thrones is played by the great houses of Westeros, and take a peek into how the same games were played by the noble families of Dubrovnik. Arise from Blackwater Bay, Flea Bottom and attend the dangerous Purple Wedding. Venture across the steps to the Great Sept, and follow the infamous Walk of Shame by a route that has the fewest number of steps and a high number of filming locations. You will not only have an opportunity to take photos of the flming locations and compare those to scenes from the show, but you’ll also learn about the history of Dubrovnik, which remarkably, has many overlapping points with stories from Game of Thrones.
