About this activity
Meet your driver in the lobby of your central Durban or Umhlanga accommodations. Begin your journey to the historic Anglo Zulu battlefield sites after boarding the vehicle. Admire the South African landscape as you travel along the pathways. A full-scale war took place to destroy the old Zulu order, and to subjugate the Zulu nation. These sites are where King Cetshwayo ka Mpande's army led by Ntshingwayo kaMahole Khoza, took on the mighty British forces, led by Lord Chelmsford.
Upon your arrival in the territory, you will be greeted by a battlefield specialist who will tell you captivating stories about the battle. After your tour of Isandlwana, your guide will accompany you to the Rorkes Drift Cafe for lunch. Once you have finished eating, you will return to the vehicle for your return journey home. Arrive at your hotel at approximately 6:00pm.
