Our 1-day tour to the Highlands from Edinburgh starts in Edinburgh Lawnmarket beside the imposing Edinburgh Castle, sat atop its dormant volcano at the heart of the city. Leaving the city, we pass the stunning Linlithgow Palace and the awe-inspiring Kelpies through to Stirling, the home of the legends of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce as well as Stirling Castle, as we head into the Trossachs National Park.

Stop At: Callander, Stirling FK17 8BA, UK

We pass through 'The gateway to the Highlands' at Callander, passing ancient Roman ruins and stop just after at Kilmahog for breakfast. Enjoy a 'full Scottish' or our world-famous Haggis and come up close to the Highland Cows before grabbing a coffee and setting off on the next leg of your adventure.

Passing through the Scottish Farmlands, meet our friendly 'Hairy Coos' in a scene filled with ancient monuments, stone ruins, lochs, glens and waterfalls.

Into a land of beautiful lakes, rugged, misty mountains and enchanted forests, we stop at Loch Tulla, the great vantage point at the edge of the Highlands. Stare down from the mountains across the crystal loch and feel like you are o top of the world.

Heading along the road to 'Skyfall' we pass over the haunted wastelands of Rannoch Moor, one of the most desolate landscapes on earth. See ancient crannogs, the world's rarest wildlife and perhaps even meet the wild deer of the moors in person.

Stop At: The Three Sisters, Scotland

Glencoe is one of the most beautiful and dazzling sights in the Highlands and a moment you will never forget. Hear the story of the 'Valley of tears' and be enchanted by its beauty and mystery.

Nestled on the shores of Loch Ness, the pretty town of Fort Augustus welcomes you for our lunch stop. Take a Loch Ness boat cruise or a picnic lunch by the shimmering loch itself, and soak in the atmosphere of the most legendary place in the world.

Standing in the towering shadow of Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, the Commando Memorial marks the origins of the men who liberated a continent.

Stop At: Atholl Rd, Pitlochry PH16 5BH, UK

Passing through a magical landscape of forests, waterfalls and mountain crags, we arrive at Pitlochry. A town frozen in time, Pitlochry revels in its Victorian roots. Browse in the pretty boutiques, recharge with a coffee or sample the whisy ice cream from the most famous ice cream parlour in Scotland.

Pass By: Forth Bridge, North Queensferry KY11 1HP Scotland

The iconic image of Scotland, the Forth bridges span the vastness of the river Forth, telling a tale of Scotland. View the incredible Victorian Forth Rail Bridge right through to the ultra-modern Queensferry Crossing, as we pass back into Midlothian towards Edinburgh, where we aim to be back by around 8pm.
