This Full Day Private Tour will take you back to the Portuguese Discoveries era and will allow you to discover some historic secrets. We’ll start with Lagos, the City of the Discoveries. Here, you’ll have the chance to visit the famous Golden Chapel of Saint Anthony and the Castle, classified as a National Monument. Observing the Lagos Marina and the home-grown shopping scene is going to stimulate your senses in this city that once was the capital of the Kingdom of the Algarve. Then we’ll carry on to the town of Sagres, where you’ll see the spectacular Cape of Saint Vincent, the south-westernmost part of Europe, known as the end of the world until the 16th century. Here, Infante D. Henrique founded the first nautical school in Europe. The Lighthouse of Saint Vincent is considered to be one of the most powerful in Europe and nowadays it steers ships in one of the world’s busiest trade routes. The Fortress of Sagres, classified as a National Monument, can also be visited.
