Your guide will meet you at your hotel to begin your walking tour. As you make your way through the winding stone streets of the medina, you’ll pass historic sites like the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima Al-Fihri along with the world’s oldest continuously operating university. You’ll see the elegant Nejjarine Fountain and the Batha Palace, now a museum of arts and culture, with its peaceful Andalusian garden.

Take a peek at the dye pits of the pungent Chaouwara Tanneries. Continue with a visit to Souk Attarine, where you’ll find pyramids of colorful spices, Berber carpets, leather goods, and other treats like homemade orange blossom water.
