You will be astonished by the hall of Paradise where the original golden door by Ghiberti stands right in front of the medieval façade of the cathedral, entirely reconstructed in 1:1 scale; it is in this room that a young Michelangelo carved the David on a commission of the bishop. You will have the chance to be in front of the Pietà by Michelangelo, the sole masterpiece of sculpture made by the artist for himself: its memorial.
