About this activity
This pleasant hike will take you from the town of Settignano, where, quoting Michelangelo, the best stone-carvers lived, up to Fiesole.

The trail winds along an ancient route, still mostly accessible, that was used to reach the ancient pietra serena stone quarries.

Beyond the quarries you will climb Mount Ceceri, where Leonardo da Vinci carried out his flight experiments, and finally climb down to beautiful town of Fiesole.

Your guide will help you discover the environments that are typical of the florentine hills: woods, olive groves, vineyards, castles, villas as well as unusual views over Florence.

The 3.9 mile (6.3 km) hike is an easy trek and is a perfect activity for families wishing to escape the crowded streets of Florence. Lunch and wine tastings are provided.

Transportation to and from the hike is provided.
