POP Guide is an interactive smartphone app. After you download it from iTunes or Google Play for free, you will be asked to scan a provided QR code (which you will be given at the meeting point). The code will give you access to downloading a digital map of Florence full of useful information and audio tracks with which you can create a customized walking audio tour of Florence. The app offers information on public transport options to and from the main points of interest. It can also calculate the fastest walking routes to any location in the city. Moreover, as you make your way around town, you will get push notifications with lucrative discounts for a variety of local businesses. You will be able to do all of it, without needing WiFi or wasting your mobile data as the system works on GPS
