Itinerary

This tour is mainly dedicated to endemic species of Madeira and Macaronesia, with special efforts to observe the Trocaz Pigeon (Columba trocaz), Madeira Firecrest (Regulus madeirensis) and Berthelot's Pipit (Anthus berthelotti madeirensis). In this tour, you will visit different habitats so you will see different species of resident birds. The tour starts with a short walk in a Levada in the Laurel forest and finishes in a coastal and dry habitat called Ponta of São Lourenço. Throughout the tour, you will visit other places where it is possible to observe migratory birds that pass by the archipelago.
