Encounter rare flora and fauna in the mountains and valleys of the island, as well as unique levadas and stunning subtropical Laurissilva forests in the hardest-to-find locations.

Departure from Funchal and head to Largo do Miranda, then on to Carreiras and up to Pico do Arieiro. Back down, go through Ribeiro Frio, Cruzinhas, Cova da Roda and Santana. At Faial we stop for lunch break and then on to Porto da Cruz, Portela, Santo da Serra, Camacha, Funchal.

The full day safari of Santana offers and adventurous tour of the stunning north and north-east of the island.
