About this activity
We will start the tour on the boulevard at 34 Western Avenue, Gloucester. From there we will share some of the folklore of Gloucester, the harbor and the fishing industry. Your English speaking guide, will take you in our 14 passenger climate controlled bus for a ride along the harbor, passing by St. Peter's Square, Cape Pond Ice, Maritime Gloucester, The Crow's Nest and many locations that you might have seen in the filming of The Perfect Storm or Manchester-By-The-Sea. On our way to either the Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House you will pass lobster traps, whale watch boats, the famous Gorton's Seafood Headquarters, and many artists studios dotting the area of Rocky Neck. We will stop for a photo at one of the area beaches, and then will spend an hour on a guided tour of this intriguing home. The admission fee is included. Please contact us if you need us to pick you up at the train station or an area hotel. Lunch is not included, but we will make sure you know exactly where to go for the best clam chowder, fried clams or lobster rolls!
