About this activity
The Chicoj coffee tour is a half day tour that offers a trek designed to learn about the different phases of the cultivation and coffee milling being in contact with members of the cooperative of small coffee producers that belong to the Maya Q’eqchi. For the adventure lovers we offer to our visitants the Zip line tour, a 750 m circuit through the coffee plantations and the small lagoon.
We will depart from Coban to the Chicoj farm, and learn about their history and the coffee production in the Verapaces as well as from the Qéqchi ethnic. The tour has a duration of 5 hours. At the end the community offers to its visitants their handmade handicrafts.
