Devil`s Nose
The biggest obstacle to the work of the trans-Andean railway was the Devil's Nose, a mountain with almost perpendicular walls. To overcome this obstacle, a zig-zag road was built that surpasses a 500-meter drop in just 12 km of vertiginous ascent or descent, and which remains today an impressive engineering work. In addition, we will discover the basin of the Chanchán River and the traditions and cosmovision of the Puruhuas in Sibambe.
