Stop At: Li River, East of Guangxi Zhuang China
This is a join-in bus tour so you will share the tour with other travelers. There will be about 20-40 people in a bus. If there are Chinese passengers, the tour guide will speak both Chinese and English. If there are only English-speaking ones, the guide will speak English only.
7:30 to 8:10am, You will be picked up from your downtown hotel in Guilin with fellow visitors. The exact pick up time will be informed the night before and the guide will contact you via hotel reception.
Note: 1) If your hotel is on a small street where our vehicle can’t access, you will need to walk out to the main street; 2) If your hotel is outside of the city center, supplement charge will be required for hotel pick up and drop off.
It is an approximately 45 minutes ride to Mopanshan Pier where you will board the boat. The check-in process will take about 10 minutes up to 30 minutes in peak season, when your passport is required. Seats in the boat are pre-assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis at time of your booking for this tour. The cruise boat sails downstream and will arrive in Yangshuo at 1:30-2:00pm.
While sitting in the comfortable cabin of your cruise boat, you will enjoy classic watercolor painting like scenery of lush bamboo forests, rolling Karst hills, and steep cliffs along Li River banks as well as the authentic Chinese countryside filled with rice fields, farmhouses, water buffaloes, fishing boats, cormorants, mountain goats, and school children on local ferry.
A simple lunch will be served on-board. You may choose to try some fresh catches from the river at your own expense.
Upon arriving in Yangshuo in the afternoon, you will have 30-50 minutes free time to explore The West Street, which is the largest souvenir market in China. You can choose to join in our optional tours to Shiwai Taoyuan (Shangri-La Park) or Silver Cave. The cost for the optional tours are not included and will be paid to your guide in cash. If you choose not to take the optional tours, you need to wait for the bus to return to Guilin. Your guide will advice you the detailed meeting point and time. As an alternative, you can take the local public bus (RMB 30 per person) at Yangshuo Bus Station to Guilin Bus Station and then take a taxi to your hotel if you prefer to go back Guilin earlier. The bus and taxi fee will be on your own expense.
At around 6:00pm, you will be transferred back to Guilin south train station via coach service for about 1.5 hours. The exact returning time is subject to change based on traffic conditions.
If you will stay in Yangshuo overnight, please bring your luggage with you when you leave your hotel in the morning. You will need to bring the luggage with you onto the boat. Due to the traffic control in Yangshuo, our bus can’t take you to your hotel. If your hotel in Yangshuo is located in the town, you need to walk or pay RMB15 for shuttle car to your hotel. Otherwise, please contact your hotel for instruction that how to get there.
