About this activity
Captain Zodiac Rafting Adventures' newest tours is an awesome 5-hour midday excursion. Arriving in Kealakekua Bay when other morning tours are departing allows for far fewer people in the bay and a much more exclusive snorkeling experience. Departing in the late morning from Honokohau, venture along the coastline towards Kealakekua Bay.

Along the way there may be close up experiences with pods of spinner dolphins and perhaps pilot whales, bottle nose dolphins, manta rays and (from December to April) even Humpback Whales! Kealakekua Bay is a marine preserve with hundreds of variets of fish and coral. its calm and clear waters offer 100+ feet visibility. It is also the sites of the Captain Cook Monument commemorating the first contact with Europeans. You will learn about the rich Hawaiian history of this area.

After snorkeling enjoy a box lunch and fresh fruit.

On the way back, visit some of the sea caves, view archways cut from the rugged lava and perhaps see a blowhole in action.
