Tenkoku is an art of making seals by engraving one or two letters of personal names on the surface of stones in calligraphic style which has been practiced for thousand years.
It is a art which combines writing and carving techniques, you can make the most sophisticated personal signature.
Experience the traditional culture of Japan, where a personal stamp is necessary for making a contract and other economic activities.
An instructor will choose a print image which is suited for your name and you will carve it on the stone.You can choose your name or favorite words for the print. You can make your own original stamp.
We will put your finished stamp in a special bag with traditional patterns. You can take it home.
The lesson is conducted by 4 seal specialists, who is the holders of the national qualification of "Certified Master on Craftsmanship" in Hiroshima.
The venue is conveniently located in central Hiroshima, so you may join the experience at any time during your trip.
The lesson is starts at 10:00. Please come 15min. before the start time.
