About this activity
Itinerary

Let's have a special time at Daisho-in, the most historical temple in Miyajima.
This plan offers you a cool experience to wear a noble princess-kimono and play "Tosenkyo", a Japanese traditional game.
"Tosenkyo" is an old traditional game similar to "Darts", where targets called "Chou" (means butterfly) perched on the wooden box called "Makura" (means pillow) and a player tosses an opened fan to the target. Scores determined according to the position of the fan, the target and the box.
It is not just a game of achieving scores, you can also enjoy the elegant act of playing the game and the scoring system based on the Tale of Genji, and moreover, a decoration of a butterfly and a pillow is so beautiful to watch. This unique game was created nearly 250 years ago in Japan.
The event will be held either at Daisho-in Hall where you can enjoy a panoramic sea view or at Shoseian Hall located in the Japanese garden.
After tosenkyo game, you can walk around Daisho-in dressed in heian-style kimono for about 30 min. In case of rain, you can not walk around Daisho-in. You may enjoy staying indoors and taking photos. No discounts offered.
