Enjoy Vietnamese Folk Performing Arts & Water Puppet Show (within REX HOTEL)

This show is performed on the ground floor at the Vertical garden in Rex SenVang Theater. With the capacity of 100 seats, you will comfortably enjoy the show with a memorable experience. Over 60 minutes, the show is divided into 2 parts.

First, the performances of traditional folk arts that have been recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. These include: Classical theater (hátbội), Chau van singing (hátchầuvăn), Lantern Dance, Hue royal court music (NhanhacCungdinh Hue) and ĐànđáTâyNguyên.

Afterwards, enjoy a water puppet show. A traditional art closely connected with the spiritual life of Vietnamese. The puppets are in a pool of water and controlled by puppeteers standing behind the screen. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra plays music in the background. This unique art form is a part of Vietnam’s cultural heritage and has won many international puppet awards. Experiencing this show is the best way to learn the history and traditional culture of the Vietnamese.
