Stop At: Cam Thanh Eco Tour, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam

During the Vietnam war Cam Thanh Village was the shelter for local people and soldiers, and nowadays this place is famous for providing the most delicious seafood products in the area.
By joining this tour you will have a chance to learn traditional fishing techniques and how to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats whilst exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war. We provide an authentic social and cultural insight into the Vietnamese local way of life, but you will also have the opportunity to take part in some hands-on activities that are fun, safe and interesting to people of all ages.
You will be met at your hotel lobby at 8am/ 2pm and transferred to Hoi An from where you will take a walk to Bach Dang dock. From here it is a wooden boat transfer to Cam Thanh water coconut village. You will receive a briefing about the daily life of Vietnamese fishermen, their families and their community before you board on boat and enjoy cruising on the Cua Dai River. Join the local fisherman on the river as you try your hand at casting a net, learn how to paddle the Vietnamese unique bamboo basket boat and explore the now tranquil coconut-palm flanking the waterways. You will hear first-hand about the extreme conditions endured by soldiers of both sides in this area during the Vietnam War.
Lunch is a traditional fair at local family house in the village. Relax and enjoy your surroundings before you bid farewell to your hosts and transfer back the hotel.
