  • Chi Lin Nunnery: This revered establishment was established in 1934 and renovated in Tang dynasty style (AD 618–907) in 1990, the Chi Lin Nunnery is a large temple complex of elegant wooden architecture, treasured Buddhist relics and soul-soothing lotus ponds. The complex also includes a series of temple halls, some of which contain gold, clay and wooden statues representing divinities such as the Sakyamuni Buddha and Bodhisattva.
  • Nan Lian Garden: The nearby Nan Lian Garden is a public park also built in the style of the Tang dynasty. Its scenic garden is meticulously landscaped over an area of 3.5 hectares, in which every hill, rock, body of water, plant and timber structure has been placed according to specific rules and methods. There are permanent exhibitions of Chinese timber architecture, rocks and potted plants.
  • Mei Ho House: Situated among-st the Shek Kip Mei Housing Estate, the heritage of Mei Ho House comes alive where visitors will be able to trace the history of public housing in colonial Hong Kong between the 1950s and 1970s at the Mei Ho House museum.
  • Ladies Market: Located in the popular and populated shopping district of Mongkok, the renowned “Ladies Market” on Tung Choi Street features more than 100 stalls of bargain clothing, accessories and souvenirs within a one-kilometer stretch on which to practice your bargaining skills. It gets its name from the huge amount of clothing and accessories on sale for women of all ages; however, with watches, cosmetics, bags, home furnishings, CDs and trinkets also up for grabs, you can find great bargains within its crowded aisles!
