TOPKAPI PALACE is the first wonderful place to discover. That was the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years (1465-1856). It is now a popular tourist attraction and contains important holy relics of the Muslim world, including Muhammed's cloak and sword.

Move on to the SULTAN TOMBS in which there are five tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at St. Sophia. The ceramic panels are the most beautiful examples of the 16th century with purple, green, blue, and red flower motives.
