Meet your guide in the lobby of your Izmir hotel, then begin your drive to Pamukkale. There, you will see the Necropolis of Hierapolis, one of the biggest cemeteries in Anatolia. Explore the Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, and the Main Street, Byzantium Gate. Then, walk to the naturally warm water terraces, formed by warm running water that contains calcium. See the gleaming white Travertine Terraces of Pamukkale, located next to the ruins of Hierapolis.
Next, enjoy an open buffet lunch for an hour-long break. Then, once your food has settled, go swimming in the hot thermal pools located in the hotel. Afterwards, go swimming the ancient pool, also known as Cleopatra's Pool, for an enhanced experience. The pool is warmed by hot springs and littered with underwater fragments of ancient marble columns. Possibly associated with the Temple of Apollo, the pool provides visitors with a rare opportunity to swim with antiquities.
