Full-Day Local Jaipur City Tour by Car

You will be picked up from your hotel at 9:00, and driven to Amber fort just out side in Jaipur. Either enroute or after the visit to Amber fort, you will stop at Hawa Mahal. The image of the Amber Fort is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Within the Fort lies the famous Jai Mandir (Temple) with its world-renowned hall of mirrors, Sheesh Mahal.

You will then drive to city, with a pit-stop for photos at Jal Mahal, the Rajput-style 'Water Palace', which sits in the center of the Man Sarobar lake. After Jal Mahal the next stop is at Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of the Winds, built in 1799 A.D. This five-storied building along the main street of the old city is a pink sandstone masterpiece, with semi-octagonal, delicately honeycombed windows.

The lunch break, at 13:00, will be provided at AC Restaurant. After lunch is a visit to the City Palace in the heart of the old city, where lies the royal residence of the erstwhile King of Jaipur. Built using a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles, the palace has carved arches and intricately crafted columns. Evening shopping in Jaipur is excellent, and you'll find an enticing variety of goods available there. Some of the most popular items are precious gemstones, silver jewelry, bangles, clothes, blue pottery and textiles. After sightseeing, you will be transferred back to your hotel, the airport or railway station in Jaipur at 18:00.
