Get picked up from your Jaipur hotel or from the railway station and drive past Hawa Mahal. Arrive at the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The huge masonary instruments were used to study the movement of constellations and stars in the sky. Next, pay a visit to City Palace, a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture that houses a seven-story Chandra Mahal in the center. The hall of public audience has intricate decorations and collection of manuscripts while the hall of private audience has a marble pawed gallery Mubarak Mahal has a rich collection of costumes and textiles.

See the Albert Hall Museum, located in the Ram Niwas Garden. It was founded in 1876 by Prince Albert and holds a rare collection of archaeological and handicraft pieces. Then, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant recommended by your driver. Stop over at Jal Mahal on the way to Amer, the old capital of the Kachhwahas that stands atop a range of craggy hills. Observe the red sandstone and white marble pavilions that reflect in the lake at the foot of the hill. Once your tour is over, begin your journey back to the Jaipur railway station or your hotel.
