Monkey Temple and Abhaneri Step Well Day Tour

You can have you breakfast at your hotel and the driver will report at your hotel sharp @ 0930 hrs. Then we will leave for Galta ji " Monkey Temple". Visit Monkey Temple with your driver only, no local guide available at this point. The driver will brief you clearly how you have to enter and what you have to visit. Have some time admiring the beauty of the temple and surrounding. Avoid talking photos of people bathing. There are two ponds inside the courtyard, one is for women and the other one is for Men. The two ponds are for taking a holy dip, as this place is a pilgrim place for locals. Then main attraction of this place are monkeys. 

After visiting the place we will proceed todays Abhaneri ( Step Wells) and 9th Century temple. Abhaneri is located in a village known as Dausa. Its around 90 kms from Jaipur. Step well concept is a ancient concept for rain water harvesting. It clearly shows the imagination of some intelligent people. Apart from water harvesting, the place of also used by the king family as a Summer Palace, as this use to remain cooler in summers of Rajasthan. 

After visiting the place and taking some excellent photos, we will drive back to Jaipur. We will have lunch at some local restaurant.
