Rescue Diver

The IDD Rescue Diver course is designed for divers who want to learn more about (diving) rescue techniques, the medical aspects of diving and how to respond during an emergency. During this course, attention will mainly focus on the prevention of an emergency situation (prevention), leading a rescue operation (management) and the search and rescue of a victim in and immediately outside the water (savior). Also the (diving) medical knowledge will be quite a bit refreshed. Therefore to follow this course a thorough knowledge of First Aid and external CPR is required. The IDD Rescue Diver training is very important for any diver who is serious about his or her sport. Not only is the Rescue Diver capable to help themselves in an emergency, but also he or she may, as the first person on the waterfront, provide assistance to a distressed buddy or another diver. In case of a diving emergency or when organizing a diving activity is the Rescue Diver an excellent assistant instructor. By following this course you will gain an invaluable amount of knowledge and experience, making the diving safety and your confidence increase enormously. Also, if you're planning to work as a professional IDD Divemaster or IDD Instructor in the future, the possession of the Rescue Diver certification is required.
