About this activity
Your tour will begin at the gates of the Old City of Jerusalem, holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians. There you will receive an overview of the political history of Jerusalem, the ongoing conflict in relation to the city's status, the differing Israeli and Palestinian perspectives and the status of Jerusalem's different population groups.

Departing the Old City, you will make your way to Musrara, a site of one of the first socioeconomic struggles in Israel, and a site on the seamline between east and west Jerusalem.

Continuing to the Mount of Olives, you will see the Beit Hachoshen settlement home in the midst of Palestinian East Jerusalem, before continuing to Israel's security barrier which divides Israeli annexed East Jerusalem from the West Bank town of Abu Dis.

Your tour will conclude in a "mainstream" Jewish neighborhood of East Jerusalem which is both largely non largely ideological, and which bore witness to numerous terror attacks during the Palestinian uprising of 2000-2005.

By the end of the tour, participants will realize the immense complexity of Jerusalem that continues to frustrate policy makers the world over
