2-Day Pilanesberg Safari Adventure

Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Pilanesberg National Park

Stop At: Pilanesberg National Park, Sun City 0314 South Africa
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Johannesburg Central between 8AM and 9AM, leaving for the tranquillity of Pilanesberg National Park. Your transport will be an air-conditioned minibus, and the drive to Pilanesberg will be about 2.5 hours.

As we arrive at the park, we start with our first game drive right away in the minibus, which will be for about 3 hours. We will stop for a lunch break at one of the rest camp in the Pilanesberg National Park – this will be for your own account.

After lunch, we will continue with a shorter game drive towards your accommodation, which allows for about 2 hours of additional game viewing.

Once we arrive at the camp for check-in, you will be showed your tent / chalet and afterwards have some leisure time to settle in and explore the facilities at camp itself.

We depart in the late afternoon for our sunset safari game drive, which will be done in an open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle. This game drive will be for about 3 hours in total.

After returning from the sunset game drive, you will be in time for dinner, which will be a traditional South African braai (barbeque)

You can spend some time after dinner talking to the other guests next to the fire, or retire to your room / tent to rest for the exciting day tomorrow.

Day 2: Pilanesberg to Pretoria / Johannesburg

Stop At: Pilanesberg National Park, Sun City 0314 South Africa
Today, we will wake up early for some tea, coffee, and rusks before we depart in a closed vehicle for an early morning game drive (about 3 hours). There is an optional upgrade, at additional cost, to have this game drive on an open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle – please speak to your guide to arrange.

After the early morning game drive, we return to camp for a much-needed breakfast.

Once breakfast is completed, you have the choice of two options for the day:

Another game drive (about 5 hours) in the Pilanesberg National Park, conducted in a closed vehicle, to see more animals and spot the Big 5. Lunch will be enjoyed in the park, at own cost.

Spend the morning and afternoon at the world-famous Sun City resort and have lunch there (own account). Please let your guide know during breakfast if you would like this option.

We will leave the Pilanesberg National Park area later in the afternoon returning towards Johannesburg, arriving back in the early evening at your accommodation in the city for drop-off. This will be the end of the tour.
