About this activity
You leave from the Hector Pieterson Museum in Orlando West (Soweto) and cycle through Soweto’s daily life.

You’ll see, Orlando soccer Stadium, home to Orlando Pirates football club and your guide will explain the system of schooling and houses in Soweto, point out Orlando Towers and bungee jump, the various ways of transportation in the township.

You'll will visit a hostel for mineworkers and see Winnie Mandela's, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu's and of course, Nelson Mandela’s house.

Via Orlando West High school our guides will explain the local struggle against the Apartheid system which led to a student uprising and the killing of Hector Pieterson.

You end the tour at Coffee and Cream coffee shop. If you like you can visit the Hector Pieterson museum in your own time after.
