Visit the Cradle of Humankind in Johannesburg. The Cradle of Humankind is 47,000 hectares and is located about 50 kilometers from Johannesburg. It is one of the 8 places in South Africa listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. This tour let you explore exclusive sites that explains the origin of human kind in South Africa.

You will depart from your hotel in Johannesburg and will first drive through the suburbs of Johannesburg north on your way to the Cradle of Humankind. On the way your tour guide will keep you updated on where you are and what you can see on the way.

Whilst on this tour, you will visit various places including Sterfontein Caves where the 2.3 million year old fossil Australopithecus africanus was unearthed in 1947.
The Maropeng Visitor center is a world class exhibition that was opened in 2005 and focuses on the development of hominins. You will also see a massive burial mound called the Tumulus which serves as the gateway to you learning about the origin of Mankind. Besides you will discover historical caves which are a very interesting and exciting.
