Enjoy all this from your base, a Boutique A class and newly renovated 1884 traditional Pelion stone mansion house situated in the center of ‘Portaria’, the most popular & accessible village in Pelion and within easy walk of its beautiful sister village 'Makrinitsa'.

Day 1. Traveling from Athens we reach the Pelion area before lunchtime & ascend into the Peninsula to tour & stop at three of its most famous & beautiful villages; Milies, Vizitsa, Pinakates, and Ag.Georgeos before joining the coast road to the village of Pelion & your comfortable accommodation to relax & later enjoy the mountain air & dinner beneath the gigantic 800 year old Plane trees in the village square.

Days 2. After breakfast you can relax or choose to take a one or two hour hike through one of the 'paths of the centaurs' which the area is famous for. Whatever your activity level, our professional guide will adapt the route for you accordingly, and for families with young children this is also a suitable activity. On your return your driver will also take you to a local organic farm shop where you can learn of the many sustainable produce that originates from Pelion, from cheese & dairy, to medicinal mountain teas & herbs, to natural honeys, medicines, olive oils & beauty products.

Finally, when you are ready we continue to return to Athens along the east coastline of Greece & take the opportunity to have lunch or a shack by the sea along the way, or if desired, to stop at the visitors center of Thermophylae & its battle site where king Leonides & the 300 Spartans held the Persian invasion of antiquity.
