Keep the kids enthralled with a day trip to Sounio. The 16 Doric columns bear silent testimony to the tragedy of King Aegeus who threw himself to his death, thus giving his name to the Aegean Sea. You will pass the gate and climb a rocky path, roughly following the ancient approach into the sanctuary of the sea god. The temple was probably designed just after the middle of the 5th century BC and the remaining columns of Pentelic marble have retained much of their original lustrous white appearance. And after that, are you ready to meet 2,000 animals from 400 different species? Your kids certainly are. This 20-hectare park offers anything from walk-through enclosures where you can interact with monkeys, to big cats and a delphinarium. Get to know the "World of Reptiles" with Pythons, Boas, Crocodiles, the "Greek Fauna" with Wolves, Brown Bears, Foxes, Wild Cats, the "African Savannah" with Giraffes, Zebra, Antelopes, as well as Lamas, Jaguars, Snow Leopards, the very rare White Lions and other beautiful mammals. After your visit of the zoo board your coach for the return drive to the pier.

Walking while at the Attica Zoological Park is at the guests' discretion; however, participants should be prepared to walk approximately 3 miles over various surfaces to complete the majority of the park.
Comfortable walking shoes, a hat and plenty of sunscreen are recommended.
Guests should be aware that large bags, backpacks and oversized purses are not permitted inside the Zoo so please plan accordingly.
The return drive from the zoo for the port is approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic.
In Sounion site, guests must be able to walk approximately 1.5 miles over steep inclines.
Do not feed, throw objects or in any way disturb the animals.
Do not run, shout, climb on the fences or violate restricted areas.
For safety reasons, all children under 12 years old should be supervised by an adult throughout their visit, as some animals may be dangerous.
The management has the right to expel the violators and has no responsibility in case of an accident due to the violation of the above.
