About this activity
Wine has been a staple element of the Greek diet for centuries.

Local production reigns on high with many confidently believing it to be a key ingredient to good health and longevity, and why not? Greece is home to some of the world's oldest citizens who always enjoy at least one glass of locally produced wine each day.

The soil in Greece is exceptionally good, high in minerals and rich in history; some of these varieties have been produced as far back as time remembers.

Perhaps you would like to learn more about the local wines? Perhaps you want to know what to pair them with or what to order with your meal in a taverna? Perhaps you just want to buy a great bottle of wine to take back home to remember your trip to Greece...

Your Greek Kitchen Host is an Athenian local and a wine lover, they've grown up surrounded by the stuff at family vineyards and it's been served at celebrations and gatherings for as long as they can remember.

Starting with white and moving on to rose the red the wines have been specifically chosen for this experience to introduce you to a range of diverse, delicious and culturally interesting wines.

As you taste each wine there will be various food items to pair with them and a chance to discuss and learn about each one.

By the time you leave you'll have gained enough knowledge to be a confident wine purchaser be it in a restaurant or as something to take home to remember your trip to Greece with,
