1 Day Hiking Adventure in Shivapuri, Kathmandu

Itinerary

The Shivapuri Hiking activity brings you the great scope of exploring the Budhanilkantha Temple, which has great significance with a large statue of the reclining Vishnu. You shall visit Budhanilkantha and then travel uphill to the Shivapuri National Park that comprises of about 500 species of animals. Then, you begin hiking from the southern boundary and climb stair which is the part of the trail, leading you to the peak.

Later, you also witness Nagi Gumpa, the only monastery in the location. The monastery is being widely visited by foreigners who wish to see practising Buddhism and explore a place for meditation at the same time. The narrow trails also let you gather glimpses of the Bagmati River where you can sit enjoy the beauty of the forest. On reaching a peak with an altitude of 8,963 feet (2,732 meters), you grab the chance to enjoy a splendid view of the Langtang Mountain Range.
