Everest base camp trekking has been popular ever since, duo Sir Edmund Hillary and TenjingNorgey Sherpa made their first successful ascend on Mt. Everest in 1953. Following their successful ascend on this highest peak in the earth, millions of people from across the globe made it to the Everest base camp. The Everest base camp is popular primarily because the travelers are able to reach on the lap of the highest point of earth, take incredible snaps of the majestic mountains including of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), the highest peaks in the world, and also the superb views other mountains namely of Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.KusumKhagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) to name a few.
Everest base camp trekking begins with short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, and then continues to Phakding along DudhKosi valley to Namche bazaar, where you will have at least a day for having acclimatization. Then next day, you will continue trekking to Kala-Pattar and finally you will reach at Everest base camp. You will have one more day a rest in Dingboche or Pheriche in between and for some side-trips and for further acclimatization from the area, from where you will have magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lohtse and Mt. Pumori and finally making excursion around, you will return back through same route to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
Trek Itinerary:
Day 01: Fly to Lukla (2820 m) and trek to Phakding (2640 m) - 04 hours
Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) - 05 hours
Day 03: Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion
Day 04: Trek to Thyangboche (3867 m) - 05 hours
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche (4260 m) - 04 hours
Day 06: Dingboche- Rest and acclimatize
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4930 m) - 05 hours
Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep (5170 m) and to Everest Base Camp (5334 m) - 6/7 hours
Day 09: Hike to Kalapatthar (5545 m) and trek to Pheriche (4240m) - 06 hours
Day 10: Trek to Namche (3440 m) - 6 hours
Day 11: Trek back to Lukla (2820 m) - 06 hours
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 13: Next adventure or international flight

  • The group’s safety is very important for us. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Even though every effort is made to go as planned, a little change might occur in the itinerary because of weather conditions, health condition of a person, unexpected natural disasters, etc. So you’re advised to be flexible in such cases.
  • In event of flight cancellation/delay in/out of Lukla:
  • Due to bad weather conditions (might even happen in best season), it is very likely that the flight to/from Lukla could be delayed or cancelled so make sure you have a day or two extra in your plan.
