Stop At: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

First visit : Kathmandu Durbar Square known for its ensemble of palaces, courtyards and temples built during the Malla period. The construction of the palaces in this square dates back to as early as the 13th century. Most of the square dates from the 17th to 18th century, however, most of the other buildings are much older that dates back to as early as the 13th century.

Next is Swayambhunath Temple, resting on a hillock 3 km west of Kathmandu, it is believed to have self emerged since the prehistoric times (more than 2000 years ago). Also known as the Monkey Temple among its visitors, the place offers panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley and is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal.

Then visit Pashupatinath Temple of Lord Shiva, just 5 km east of Kathmandu, lies at the banks of the Bagmati river. The temple dates back to (believed to have constructed in the 3rd century BC) 400 A.D. and houses the sacred Shivalinga (the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva). It is a World Heritage Site. It’s a square two-tiered pagoda temple, richly ornamented with gilt and silver-plated doors
