Stop At: Pashupatinath Temple, Pashupati Nath Road, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

While you start your day in the alluring Kathmandu valley, you will be picked up from the hotel for a visit to the 2000-years old Pashupatinath Temple. This temple dates back to 5th Century A.D and is dedicated to Pashupati, a reincarnation of Lord Shiva (the lord of destruction). It is situated along the banks of Bagmati river that is said to have sacred properties. The devotees visiting this temple plunge into this holy river to seek salvation and the devotees of Lord Shiva across the subcontinents usually choose to be cremated on the banks of this holy river. According to legends, this temple is a powerhouse of Hindu spiritual energy and perhaps, as you enter the temple’s complex, you can actually feel the spiritual vibes rushing through you. Only at this temple in Nepal, Lord Shiva is worshipped as the Lord of Beasts (Pashupati). The complex of this temple is adorned with a giant statue of Nandi (vehicle of Lord Shiva) at the entrance, shrines, lingams and ghats (stone steps) that offer splendid surroundings for capturing pictures. It is an overall worthwhile experience for divine enlightenment.

After your visit to Pashupatinath Temple, your tour comes to an end. Later, you will be dropped off at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
