Day 01: Arrival and visit in Kathmandu and Patna Durbar Square (Altitude 1400 m)

A representative pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel. You visit two UNESCO listed heritage sites, Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square. In Kathmandu, you can see beautiful Hanuman Dhoka, Kalbhairab temple, Taleju temple and Royal Palace. You can also visit courtyard where you may see Kumari. You can visit Patan where you can see Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and many more architecturally rich places.

Day 02: Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy “Daar” at evening (Altitude 1401 m)

You visit Bhaktapur. You can see Five storied temple, Bhaktapur durbar Square, Changunarayan temple, 55 Windows Durbar, Dattatraya area and Siddhapokhari. You can enjoy popular and tasty Juju Dhau (King of Sweet Curd) and watch making of clay pots and wood carving artistry. After you return back to Kathmandu and be part of Teej festival. You can enjoy Daar, a special food prepared by Hindu women a day before taking fast. It includes delicious food such as rice pudding, Chapatti, Pickles, Furaula, and Black Lentil etc. You can wear traditional Nepali dress and enjoy cultural singing and dance program.

Day 03: Celebrate Teej with Nepalese ladies (Altitude 1400 m)

You visit temples where the Hindu women celebrate Teej. You enjoy their dance and participate with them. Today males are not allowed to enter in temples. You will celebrate according to Nepali tradition throughout the day. The folk music and dances add more flavor to traditional values of Teej. It is fascinating to see women, in “Red” dancing and singing on the street, going to temple in holy and fasting mood. Teej is also called Hari Talika Teej. Married daughters are called by their parents or brothers in their mother’s house and they celebrate the festival. 

Day 04: Visit to Bouddhanath and Swoyambu and Nagarkot (Altitude 2175 m)

You will visit historically and culturally enriched places like Boudhanath temple and Swayambhunath (Monkey temple) which are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You drive to Nagarkot to observe the view of sunset.

After 3 hours’ drive you reach to Nagarkot. You enjoy the scenery and cold chill weather of Nagarkot. At evening you go to the tower from where the sunset view can be seen.

Day 05: Return back to Kathmandu and Departure

You wake up early in the morning and observe the sunrise view. If weather favors, you can observe the panoramic view of mountains like Everest, Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Mahalangur range, along with the views of Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park. You return back to Kathmandu. Representative from NBM travel will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport.
