Home to the kings of Nepal, this sacred place includes nearly 60 remarkable temples. It is home to the Royal Kumari, who is The Living Goddess. She makes scheduled appearances each day for devotees to bow down to and worship. There is also the old Royal Palace. Kathmandu’s Durbar Square has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is the large area of God Shiva near Kathmandu airport. It is listed in UNESCO World heritage sites and large area to explore. You can visit inside temple (Only for Hindus), crematoria, Mrigasthali etc.

This is the holiest Hindu place in all of Nepal and one of the holiest in all of Hinduism. Nestled on both banks of the sacred Bagmati River are temples, ghats and shrines. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home of many Babas as well as other Hindu holy men.

Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh Boudha, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

This pilgrim site of Buddhist Stupa included this tour cause this is nearby pashupatinath and en-route to Budhanilkantha. While you visit Kathmandu skipping this is trip incomplete. So, we have included that place in our tour program. This is the largest Buddhist stupa in Asia and features the unique synergy of Hinduism and Buddhism that is found here in the Kathmandu Valley. It is also the home of the largest Tibetan refugee community in all of Nepal. Boudhinath has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Budhanilkantha, ca. 9 km sudlich von Kathmandu. Narayanthan, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

The Budhanilkantha area is known as famous Hindu temple of Budhanikanth. When we get there we can buy some materials for Puja (For Hindus only) and start from basement of Holy water tap. Its is small but pilgrimage area for special for Hindus. Non Hindus are allowed to go and they can learn house Hindus culture.

Stop At: Budhanilakantha Temple, Kathmandu Nepal

While not a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it definitely should be. Here is one of the oldest shrines in the Kathmandu Valley which features a 5 meter long idol of Lord Vishnu reclining on the cosmic sea. The idol is made of a black stone that is not native to the Kathmandu Valley. This sacred temple was erected by the Licchavi dynasty that ruled the Kathmandu Valley nearly a millennium ago.
