Day 1 : KOTA KINABALU - CLASSROOM SESSION

● 08:30: Pick up at your hotel. Then proceed to classroom session.

● Classroom session: Coral reef ecology, biology & conservation; tropical fish and invertebrates. 

● Lunch

● Turtle ecology and biology; seagrass and mangrove habitats; marine conservation. We learn all about the biology and ecology of endangered sea turtles, and discuss conservation approaches and challenges.

● Drop off at Hotel

Day 2 : SEPANGAR BAY - CONSERVATION SITE

● 08:30: Pick up at hotel and proceed to the conservation site in Sepangar Bay.

● Sepangar Bay – Field Session: The session will include instruction on standard reef survey techniques, quadrant sampling, fish identification, and trophic level assessments.

● Locally prepared lunch.

● Continue field expedition.

● 1600 (approx): Transfer to Signal Hill Eco Farm for dinner. 

● 1700 (approx): Dinner/Recap of what was learned/distribution of certificates.

● Transfer to Hotel.
