Stop At: Camp Birkenau Historical Gate

Meet your driver and fellow travellers in Krakow at one of the pre-arranged meeting points or one of the hotels where pick-up is possible. The journey from Krakow to Auschwitz(II) Birkenau in the village of Brzezinka takes around 75 minutes. Watch an informative documentary on the way there to introduce you to the history of the camp or enjoy the countryside landscapes from your air-conditioned vehicle.
Once you reach your destination, the driver (tour host) will provide you with a bottle of water and a guidebook in your chosen language. After a short break to use the facilities, you will begin your visit at the entrance to the Birkenau camp. You will have about 2h to explore the original buildings and different exhibitions. You can use the guidebook as a map to plan your visit and choose what you wish to see. Among others, you can visit the Birkenau ramp, the crematoria ruins, prisoner living/sanitary barracks, and the prisoners' sauna where you can observe the personal photographs of the people that perished in the gas chambers.
When you return, your driver will be waiting for you in the car park at the agreed time. You will return to the city centre in Krakow, where you can choose to end the trip at one of 5 drop-off points.
