About this activity
This tour will take you to the most important monuments in Kazimierz and Podgorze district. Visit historic synagogues and see the actual locations used for the filming of the movie Schindler's List.

This tour travels into the south-eastern district of Krakow - Kazimierz - the historical centre of Krakow's Jewish religious and social life. Kazimierz was originally founded as a separate town near Kraków where, since 14th century Jewish people had the right to settle down. Szeroka Street is a remnant of the former market square with the Old Synagogue, Isaac's Synagogue and Remuh Sunagogue. You will also visit Podgorze quarter - where the Jewish ghetto was established during World War II, and Schindler's factory (made famous by Steven Spielberg's movie Schindler's List) and Plaszow, where a concentration camp from the Second World War used to be situated.

Please note: The Synagogues Remuh and Isaac's are closed on Saturdays and during Jewish holidays.
