7:00am pick up from your hotel and drive Battambang (170km for 3 hours’ drive). Battambang is the second biggest city of Cambodia, however it remain calm and the atmosphere truly bring you back to the French colonial era. It’s also known as “rice bowl” of the country, the rice production of this province alone is enough to make Cambodia self-sufficient in terms of food.

Arrive Battambang around 10:00am, take the city tour orientation along Steung Sangké River and the colonial buildings including governor’s house. Continue to the striking hilltop temples of Phnom Sampeau, this massive limestone outcrop is dissected by a number of caves some more accessible than others, with some containing unexpected reminders of Cambodia’s history. Enjoy the bamboo train ride at Phnom Banan to experience how Cambodian farmers creating bamboo train for daily transport.

Picnic lunch on spot

Drive back to Battambang along Steng Sangké, area grows a variety of tropical fruits and after the rainy season farmers plant all kinds of vegetables along the fertile river banks, here you can learn about traditional agriculture.

Return back to Siem Reap, tour end at your hotel around 19:00.
