Meet up with your guide at the exit of Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Rest of the day is free program.

Start from 8:00am, first stop is the South Gate and see the ancient capital of Angkor Thom built in the late 12th century. Then Bayon temple which is unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Following, visit the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to Ta Prohm, built in the late 12th to early 13th centuries. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the ‘main event’ the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple that is the largest religious monument in the world. Inside the temple, the walls are covered with stone carvings and bas‐reliefs which is quite breathtaking.

 

This morning, you will visit Banteay Samre, named after the Samré, an ancient people of Indochina. Continue to the celebrated Banteay Srei. It is one of the most beautiful temples. The carved male and female figures in the niches are exquisitely executed in both style and proportion. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, Tonle Sap Lake where you will discover different aspects of the floating village activities: crocodile farming, fish raising, traditional medicine, boat shops, houses, floating schools, etc… Towards, Artisans D’ Angkor, established to support Cambodian arts and crafts and help young people to find a job in their local villages by continuing the practice of traditional arts.

At 08:00am, proceed to Beng Mealea located about 2 hours away from Siem Reap. For years it was difficult to reach and therefore relatively undiscovered, but a road recently built to the temple complex of Koh Ker passes Beng Mealea and has opened up the site for visitors. Its primary material is sandstone and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great piles.

In the morning, visit Roluos group (Preah Ko and Bakong Temple) which is modern small town and an archeological site. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit Wat Thmei, one of the memorials of killing field. There are not only the killing field of Choeung Ek near Phnom Penh, also over 18000 killing fields in Cambodia. The last stop is The Old Market called Phsar Chas. It is the oldest Khmer market in Siem Reap. You can find the vendors selling inexpensive souvenirs such as clothes, jewelry, and shoes.
