Day 01 – Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Tembeling Jetty – By boat to Taman Negara

Meet at the lobby between 07.30am to 07.45am to be transferred to the shuttle coach for your 4 hrs journey to Kuala Tembeling jetty where you will register with the National Park and Wildlife Department. Enjoy your 3 hrs boat journey passing by local villages and lush tropical rainforest to the National Park, Taman Negara. Spot kingfishers, hornbills, monkeys, monitor lizards or water buffaloes along the river. Upon arrival at the park, soak in the jungle atmosphere surrounding the Resort.

At 2030 hrs meet your guide at the Resort’s reception for a brief orientation introduction. Enjoy a night jungle walk looking out for nocturnal plants and insects amidst the chorus of the rainforest. Do note however, sighting of wildlife in the tropical forest due to its density, is a bonus.

Day 02 – Taman Negara

Enjoy a 1 ½ hours trek up Teresek Hill and be rewarded with a magnificent view of the tropical rainforest at the top. On a clear day, you can see Mount Tahan, the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Continue your adventure with a canopy walkway (close on Thurs), built 40 meters above the ground and 530 meters in length. Experience the rainforest from a different perspective, as you get closer to the top of the trees!
** Note: CANOPY WALKWAY CLOSURE 

Please be informed that the canopy walkway will be temporarily closed until further notice. The closure is to ensure the safety of all visitors. The Jungle Trekking Excursion to Terisek Hill remain unchanged except that guest will not be able to experience the canopy walkway for the time-being. On a separate note, all inner jungle programs also will be suspended temporarily due to the rainy season. This suspension only involves inner jungle activities such as the hike to Kumbang Hide and Gua Kepayang.

This afternoon, take boat ride to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh enjoying the splendid pristine jungle scenery along the way. Swim, relax or read amidst the serene atmosphere. [Lunch and dinner at the hotel]

Day 03 – Taman Negara

Embark on a boat ride for an exhilarating rapid shooting adventure to Kuala Trenggan at Sungai Tembeling. Visit a Bateq Native Settlement, learn about their simple and peaceful life of sharing and other interesting culture including hunting with a blowpipe. After lunch, free at leisure for the rest of the day. [Meal: B/fast, Lunch, Dinner at hotel]

Day 04 – Taman Negara – Kuala Tahan – Overland to Kuala Lumpur

At 01.30pm depart for a 3.5 hrs overland journey to Kuala Lumpur. Expected arrival time at Istana Hotel Kuala Lumpur between 1700hrs to 1730hrs. [Meal: B/fast ] ** Tour Ends **

  • Gifts for Orang Asli: We do encourage bringing simple gifts when visiting the native settlement, a normal Asian custom. However, we do recommend items such as exercise books, pencil, rice or biscuits. Sweets and snacks especially in non-biodegradable plastics are not encouraged.
  • Important: If you are returning to Kuala Lumpur city, you may leave your luggage in the hotel luggage storage room and bring instead, an overnight backpack for the tour.
  • Camera and fishing licence is payable at Kuala Tembeling. The rainy season is between middle November to middle/end January.
  • During the rainy season, some of the activities may be cancelled should there be a high element of safety at risk.
