About this activity
Your driver will pick you up from your centrally located hotel and start your trip through the city in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. You will drive past Embassy Row, where many of the embassies are located. After half an hour’s drive, you will arrive at the Royal Selangor Pewter factory. This is where you will learn how pewter is made and how it is crafted into the stylish items that are displayed in the showroom. (20 mins).

Proceed to the Batik Centre. (10 mins) Here you will be able to see how the artisans print the batik designs onto exotic materials like silk, to create beautifully patterned materials that are made into scarves, sarongs, pareos, blouses, dresses, etc. (15 mins)

After this, we continue on to the magnificent Batu Caves. (15 mins) The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. It is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal points of the Hindu festival, Thaipusam, in Malaysia. You will need to be dressed respectably before proceeding to climb 272 steps to reach the cave temple. You will spend (40 mins) to explore the caves which are awe inspiring. 

Once you have descended, take a breather before you head back to the city where you will be dropped off at your hotel. (30 mins)
