and take a walk up to St. Paul’s Hill for a panoramic view of the Malacca Straits. At the top is the ruin of St. Paul’s Church, lined by 17th century Dutch tomb stones.
Continue by visiting the majestic fortress of Porta de Santiago—remains of the once great Portuguese fortress as well as the 17-century St. Peter's Church. Marvel at the intricate architectural designs and stop by the Portuguese Settlement, a community of Kristang or Portuguese-Eurasians.
Stop for a typical local lunch before taking a stroll through the Antiques Row at Jonker Street. The renowned street houses some of the country’s oldest heritage buildings dating back to the 17th century.
Visit the Cheng Hoon Teng temple or the "Temple of Green Cloud" is a Taoist temple founded in the 1600s. It is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin). This temple was constructed by skilled workers from China - master craftsmen, artisans and carpenters, who replicated the designs of the Southern Chinese temple.
