I am a tour guide driver in Kyoto working for 25 years.
Kyoto used to be the capital of Japan for 10 centuries..
Tour duration is 5 - 8 hours. As this is a car tour, it is very easy to get around without any stress.
*Details of price.Taxi fare with halfway guide inside Kyoto City is 6,100yen / hour / car, from 5 hours.Full way guide costs extra 3,000yen on each spot.
Osaka pickup costs additional 20,000yen (one way).
Admission, parking fee and road tolls are not included.
Out of the City tour needs extra charge according to the distance.
* Tour course is very flexible.
We recommend Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, Ryoan-ji, Arashiyama (Tenryu-ji and bamboo forest), Hushimi Inari Shrine.These thakes 6 hours, distant from downtown. There are many others.Ginkaku-ji, Philosopher's Walk, Nanzen-ji, Heian Shrine, Gion,
Kiyomizu-dera, Sanjusangen-do are main sites.
